Tonight I watched raw footage ‘bout the Jews.
Such slaughter, murderous scenes, I felt the blame—
It quickly swamped my brain with thoughts of shame.
Fathers pulling kids to their final end
Into shallow ditches dug just for them.
Babes sucking warmly at their mother’s breast,
Mindless of gun shots, mom’s stumbling last steps.
Bullets ripped holes through all in this piteous queue,
The heinous reward for being born a Jew.
Some women dropped upon a fallen mate;
Infants smothered between, the saddest fate.
Nazis poured lime then shoveled dirt upon them,
Shunning sightless eyes staring to condem.
Having seen such monstrous crimes so ghastly base;
I’m shamed by what is called MY human race.
