| This grim reminder of the viciousness rampant in much of our world is needful amid the general attitude of relative comfort among most North Americans today... the irony is pointed and images are pointed... truly there is a schism but it is less that of a faith than of conflicting faiths, and this is the diabolical edge whose hidden shadow arches over your poem. |
