Every time I log on to Author's Den,
I say to myself, "I need to write."
But the words don't come,
To ease my plight.

I don't want trivial,
I don't want BS.
I want to write,
I miss it.

Maybe there's not enough pain,
Maybe life is too good.
Maybe,Maybe,Maybe.

Maybe my Muse has gone on Vacation?
Maybe....You'd better get Your ass back here!
But If you don't mind,
Don't bring no more pain.

Even the Muse needs a vacation Walt. Your humor is safe and sound awaiting your robust re-entry into the Den.

Sounds like a good case of "writer's block" or soul block or maybe you are just living it so fully that you don't need to write about it right now. I have a hard time writing when I TRY to instead of just letting it flow when it needs to.

I hope you get inspired by something wonderful and let words roll into the wind beneath the swoosh of your wings. . .

We all stumble now and then, Walt....but the good thing is we get back up....your muse won't let you down my friend!

You doing Great Walt
Taking the first steps back
to the awaiting pen and pad
Allow your ink of inspiration to flow
once it starts......your off and running
I am recovery from a drastic dry spell myself
Peace be with you

don't log on just write when the inspiration arouses you ... don't force it and you'll find little pain ... it's not an adverse sexual experience ...

Stopper out the bottle, my friend... stopper out the bottle... Just write streams of consciousness until the consciousness starts to shape the flow to your stimulation and liking! Like panning for gold, there will be the precious nugget within that you will take and hone to perfection... A fine new start made here that promises much in its own ass-kickin! Upwards and onwards in this Merry New Year xx

Hocus-pocus! There, the muse has returned with no pain. Now you'd best be off of your back side and writing. Happy New Year Walt. It is joy, peace and love I'm wishing for you this year. Jon Michael

I am glad you do not write trivial, would rather wait when it comes to your work for it is always a promise of something special....

Perhaps our Muses' are off living the good life...yet I sure know what you mean. I have lived this last year and a half through a personal/private hell of sorts and my muse was even scared to be around me. There is something new I had to learn about human nature just when I thought I had learned it all. I have peace in my life for the first time in many years and I will try to begin again . Have a great new year
