Sorry folks, its been a bad day when I honestly thought it was going to be a good day...screw the world...

I really thought this was the one,

Looked forward to the 30 mile run,

The interview I thought went great,

I even arrived early, don't like to be late...

Well, I am feeling especially right now down,

Yeah, they chose someone else,

I had all the right credentials,

Knew my way all around,

Even did the same type of job before,

Still they did show me the door...

I can't give up, but feel pretty bad,

I just wanna say the hell with this,

Why I ask myself, am I too old,

Too something, I must be,

I should have just died a couple years ago,

Then I wouldn't have to deal with this,

Nor would you all have to put up with me...

Been there when stupid interviewer afraid of what I 'couldn't' rather than could.

Keep hanging in and it will come along. Only 'putin up you' on a pedestal.

"Screw the World"

How often I find myself saying that, especially these sad, abysmal days for both man and beast. But we must keep on, keepin on.

“I should have just died a couple years ago,
Then I wouldn't have to deal with this,”

Your bluntness is a vacillator which hedges near a malignant tumor. Your back and forth synopsis troubles this simple man. When you hovered near death, hundreds upon hundreds rallied in prayer for you before God on your behalf.

You were spared for a reason…what that reason is I cannot say, but I know God, and HE has a reason for everything even if we do not understand. Do not sir question the meaning of this job decision, but rejoice that another day we shall see.

Lots of prayers and Love… Al

I know it might sound trite, but I mean this most sincerely: there is the perfect job waiting for you. You are not obsolete, and your skill set is still in demand, though you might have to learn a few new tricks. But you're no old dog, unable to learn.

Now as for this poem, it is a gut-wrenching honest appraisal of a nerve-wracking situation. You have made us all a little more aware of the harrowing roller-coaster known as job-hunting. Now dust off your bravery, and get on back out there.

Dangit, Ed, don't you DARE give up. We're not giving up on YOU. Neither is God (even though you wonder about that). Continued prayers -- I'm sorry this one didn't go well. DON'T GIVE UP. Can't get a job if you're dead. You know? We love you.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

It is never easy job hunting or being rejected when we apply for a job but we have to keep the faith brother that something just may come along a lot better.
