This afternoon I received a phone call from the Army regarding my brother who was killed in action (KIA) in Vietnam 30 plus years ago. They asked me for a second DNA from a daughter, or a letter that my brother possibly licked many, many years ago. Have they found him? My hope never dies. My prayers to Jesus, my Lord are to bring him home to Arlington Cemetary for a proper burial...

Danny
Today they called
Like so many times before.
This time hope didn’t die.
They have my DNA.
Want yours.
A letter licked or a stamp.
My daughter stepped up.
She’s going to give
Give a swab too.
Danny, you hear me
Mom and Dad do too.
You’re finally together.
Tomorrow, is a new day
I know, lived 30 plus
Since you have been gone.
Jesus, My Lord
Prayers are real
Army wants another DNA.
They have a match
Have my DNA
Danny, they have you too.
Found a card
A Mother’s Day card
Danny, your DNA.
My Jesus, My Lord
Bring him home.
To rest beside Mom & Dad.

Be always safe,
