MAKING POETRY

tonight i feel no propensity for verse
no inclination toward sugared words
i don’t want to woo you with roses
or loosen your libido with champagne
no waste of time on more seduction
for we have seduced each other well
often and again until blood flows hot
and flesh aches to touch and blend

tonight i sense that you feel the same
your smooth cheeks are pink-blushed
and your eyes flash the fire of desire
your hands tremble as they lift mine
your breasts pushing against my palms
i can feel hard nipples under the fabric
your dress now falling softly to the floor
at last, tonight you are mine, i am yours


tonight i don’t need to enjoy the vision
of lace covered curves, lace is a barrier
after my tongue has tempted, teased you
through feminine trappings of seduction
i want to rip sheer lace away and taste
the fragrant nakedness of your hot skin
hollow of your neck, slope of shoulders
round bountifulness of luscious breasts


my tongue longs to travel pleasure trail
lingering long enough to lightly dip into
the goblet in your belly, finer than crystal,
before uncovering the jewel of your love
hidden between full lips of your passion
tonight i will take you to the cusp of death
where your moans and cries of pleasure
turn to mindless, breathless catatonia


tonight i feel no propensity for verse
i want to fill your emptiness and feel
your fullness, surrounding, grasping me
there is a time for romantic words of verse
but tonight is not that time, sweet woman
in shadows there is a time to pen poetry
but tonight in the soft, dancing candlelight
evolves our time to make poetry without words
