Her Sensuous Image

~*~

A screen I face

Blank

It beckons me

To enter a forbidden zone

Where your image waits

I find myself unable

To refuse the temptation

That lurks within

I am frozen

In a time warp

With no dimension

For me to freely maneuver.

I am drawn in

Like a magnet

I feel stirring

Within my loins

As never before

An occurrence caused

By you,

Merely being you.

The silence

That surrounds me

Is deafening

The uncreated poetry

Speaks not to me

It’s content

Are words yet unborn

Within the secured sanctity

Of my present sanity.

Once my eyes meet

The dark sensuousness

Of yours

I am doomed

Frozen at awe

Allowing the loveliness

Of your image

To slowly sink in

I marvel at the beauty

Of your gentle smile

My knees weaken

My heart beats erratically

Out of rhythm

My hands

Reach for the keyboard

Trembling

I sit wondering

Should I dare?

Very creative...it is the images that grasp us and take us into that escape...we are as weak as we are strong and yet it is all a realistic fantasy that we play with...even within our minds....

...YOU HAVE DARED, WILLIAM AND AS ALWAYS...THE PROFOUND COMPELLING BEAUTY OF POETRY'S SENSUOUS PRESENCE, WHICH YOU DESCRIBE SO ARTISTICALLY, AS A VISION OF A WOMAN...CAN ONLY BE SEEN, INTERPRETED AND APPRECIATED BY ANOTHER...WHO HAS BEHELD POETRY'S LOVELY MYSTERIES ALSO. SHE...THE GIFT OF POETRY... WILL NEVER LET US REST...AND I AM SO GRATEFUL TO HIM WHO GAVE HER TO US...AREN'T YOU? I LOVE THIS METAPHORIC WORK...! THIS IS A METAPHORE...IS IT NOT? OR...WERE YOU SLIPPING INTO ONE OF YOUR RICH 'FANTASIES', WHICH YOU SO SO WELL? AH, BE IT AS IT IS...WHICH EVER IT IS...A 'DIFFERENT' PERSPECTIVE IS ALWAYS...INTERESTING? THANKS FOR SHARING THIS KEEPER. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH....JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

What's the difference between fantasy and reality, I wonder, where all the contact we have with the object of our intense affection is what we are able to receive and perceive through an "inanimate" screen? Yet it's skin's so real, no?! :)) So well-written my own knees are knocking here, William! May love and wisdom always be your guide. xx

William, This is fantastic. It's like you are speaking to all poets. I have to believe that anyone who has ever labored over a loving poem to their sweetheart has lived these same words. Most of us don't express them nearly so well, but we've sat before that blank screen, with deafening silence surrounding us, uncreated poetry and unborn words. I can't speak for anyone else, but I have also experienced that stirring within my loins as I toiled seeking the exact words to express myself. This is absolutely marvelous. Thank You, Dick
