Snow Flowers...

Pearlescent Icebows

Snow flower
You bloom in halo's crystal
Gathering the chill of frost
Whispery as unsettled thoughts
You freely dance with softness
Singing your wintry notes
Breathing stillness upon the replete forest
Teasing the naked branches with ice cycles
Hanging your glacial jewels of wonderment
Kissing the earth with your pearlescent icebows
Reflective in every way and offering tranquility
Throughout the hailstone’s frozen rain drops
Pelting floe and awakening the senses
within the bounteousness of your presence…

Deep in snow again at the shore, I try hard to sing your
beautiful wintry notes, Victoria. -gene.

Seldom has winter been wooed with such eloquence and splashed with such fine finesse onto the printed page. The line "Teasing the naked branches with ice cycles" merits special attention. Highly original imagery, brought a smile to my lips.

Looking out the window from the fourteenth floor at a snowstorm/blizzard happening outside I can really empathize with this write. I am sooo looking forward to getting out tomorrow and taking some pictures of the snow and ice with my new camera.
