Monday . 9:15 am me blood shall flow. Hope and pray it will be an easy go.
Under the Knife
In four short days I go under the Knife.
Four nervous days wrought with strife.
Cut and sew, stitch me flesh; panic grows.
Never too keen were I when it comes to me own bloods flow.
Three to six weeks to the bed I shall lie.
No lifting, no nothing, near enough to make me cry.
Hopes be that soon I will once again be a whole me.
Yet the cut, slash and stitching makes me silently weep.

|I empathise strongly with your words, but it will soon be over and done with and you will be on that wonderful road to recovery before you know it! My Dad had some words for me when I was younger for many situations that I was worried about, or really scared of. The words sounded perceptivly simple at the time...but they are Oh so true and meaningful to my ears now..'It will come and it will go'...and it always does..You, like me have been through difficult times before, and I know you will come through this too. As suggested below, there will be time for precious introspection and writing also...Relax your body, mind and spirit within your recovery. You are in my thoughts and prayers...
Love and Hugs, Diana...

|I hope you have someone going with you who can comfort your anxiety and assure you that you will be OK. If not. . .imagine all of us, here in the den, surrounding your hospital bed.
We are here for you. We care.
And it will be over before you get too scared.
Perhaps your time of recovery will be a good time for introspection and to write a few more masterpieces? Surely they will let you lift a pen.
You will be OK.
