Sometimes it's fun to personify something without life that we cannot live without.

Sunshine Personified

The Venetian blinds were
Reduced to slits -

Yet somehow the sun’s beams
Squeezed their way through.
Afterwards they boogied
Across the stillness
Of my indoor world,
Pierced my snoozing eyes,
And warmed my spirit.
