This poem is about the poignancy and the sadness we feel when visiting our old school as adults; it explores what we gain and what we lose in the process of growing up.

Excerpt below:

What have they done to our old school?

Built over our memories, that’s what.

Concrete and wood laid over our childhood,

Asphyxiating our earliest school days.

Feel the anger, feel the sadness,

Of the long-departed children whose voices only lingerIn the supreme surreality of our minds.
