~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How wise a man was David Hume?
Claimed "nothing for certain" can we know.
We can't know cause, it hides from view.
Our brain allows effect, the status quo.
Can we see an object outside our mind?
Not if an image comes through our eyes.
Our brain conjures up an image;
Then lets imagination revise.
Doubting Hume pursued an ordered life;
Causing many thinkers to doubt.
He coped and ate like a normal man.
Hunger needs food, he figured out.
In living an ordered life, Hume proved he had more faith than the most fire breathing evangelical who isn't satisfied unless he can be sure by proof texting it to death. Faith pertains to the unknowable. If you can know it, it has nothing to do with faith. Good poem, Regis...
