Reality

of princesses and ogres

                   and horrors yet to be,

they gather in the forest

to sit 

                 and watch

                              and see

the shapes take form

                        and the screams begin

                                                                  again...

Metamorphosis

A Beautiful butterfly

breaks Free

from the cocoon

and dries her colorful wings

in the warmth

of the mid-day sun.

FREE NOW

from the shell

that once enclosed her spirit.

she has evolved most beautifully.

lonely child hides

behind the masque

of adult confidence

 emergence from her chrysalis

guardedbyfear

of the unknown

slowly

trusting-cautiously revealing

her true self

to the world.

Broken Promises & Broken Dreams

the winds gust

                            with hurricane force

                            across the sky

broken promises and broken dreams

 lay scattered

                          in the aftermath

of the storm.
