“Why do you tempt me Dear Lord?” I cry
“I want to serve you and you alone,” I sigh
This difficulty with which I fight
Is a flaw which threatens my soul like blight
I would serve you better without this enticement
My very spirit seems doomed by this impediment
Even as I cry out and plead with the master he smiles and declares
“I have promised to not let you be tried for more than you can bear
Endure your trials for they are like a file buffering your very core
It is like fire making steel out of cast iron ore
When you join me in my heavenly kingdom you will see
Overcoming those temptations made you worthy to celebrate with me”
