I raced through a station on a train and saw a strikingly beautiful woman on the platform. As we 'met', eye to eye, for a split-second, she received a text message from who knows where. She reached for her mobile 'phone...

What light-speed words arriving made you smile,

A private gentle blush and look away,

To some unseen imagined secret place,

And brought such signs of joy to your lovely face.

I, passing by, at eighty miles an hour,

Fell in love with you for all of time,

Or 'til the next e-mail or business call,

Removes your lovely face for once and all.
