Two days since my surgery-

And I just thought I knew pain.

Thanks to all who have prayed…

“Hello Wall”

Surgery done    yet now I lie in bed coming undone.

The morning I greet with an old country line

“Hello Wall” and I ask how much to turn back time.

Oh back to a time before -

back when youth and strength stood next to me on health’s golden shore.

Yet now I sing “Hello Wall” night, noon and day,

Amidst a disabling pain.

I look into the mirror which has lost its shine.

I close my eyes beneath a grimace of pain

And think of my youth once upon a time.

I hobble back to my bed

And I once again sing “Hello Wall” and cry.

Sounds like you made it through the surgery OK and are on the mend.
I feel certain you'll soon reach a point where you'll feel fine again.
I hope you use this 'down-time' to write something special -
Something that rises from the depths of your soul -
Something that can only be heard in this stillness -
Something that needs your pen to help it let go. . .

I read this to you but I also wanted to post it in writing where you can go back and look at when you get discouraged...I love you Baby, I really do...
When your up against a wall... and your mountains seem so tall.. and you realize life's not always fair.. You can run away and hide or let the old man decide or you can change your circumstances with a prayer. When everything falls apart.. Praise His Name..When you have a broken heart just raise your hand and say.. Greater is he than is within me and you will praise the hurt away....You can overcome by the blood of the Lamb.

Believe me, Allen I know your pain. I've been there too many times to count. I am heading for another one tomorrow. I will continue to pray for you and I hope you will return the favor.
God bless,

(((gentle hugs and continued prayers for you and Jan ... )))

I have been there, but every day it gets just a little bit easier. Have courage; the pain will go away soon ... don't give up hope; look to God to get you through this time of recovery ... Love you, (((sweet man)))!

As always, Karen, your friend in Texas. :(

What I would do, if I were in such pain...double up on the meds till the pain disipates a can always stop using them later on, well I could so anybody should be able to...also think about those blue ice things that you freeze in your freezer...use a towel, don't put directly on your skin, and they will numb the painful area, though the docs won't recommend this idea...good luck...Ed
