Another inspiration from Campelot By The Lake....truly an amazing place....

Midst the sighs of those still drifting in dreams,
I carefully make my way out the front door
Treading o’er damp uneven stones to the narrow pier
Jutting far out into the magnificent pristine lake.
Soothing whispers, where the water strokes the shore
Luring me onward, willing me to be part of it all.
With the fingers of dawn on a flaming horizon
Igniting the smooth surface of the chilly water
The sun slowly rises into a clear blue sky.
Taking a deep soul-cleansing breath,
I attempt to absorb all that lies before me, knowing
Neither clever brush stroke nor colourful words
Could capture the essence of this amazing place!
And with each breath that echoes into the stillness,
All that Nature generously bestows spellbinds me!
Soon warm sunbeams will meander through the eyes
Of the little cottage tucked into the trees,
And those within will rise to greet the new day.
But for now it’s just Mother Nature and me
Standing together, her arms warmly embracing
Her grace enchanting!

This sounds like a beautiful place. You have a way with words that bring the reader to the place you are. May God bless you every day of your life.

But for now itís just Mother Nature and me

And what a marvelous place to be. Many now love to swim in man-made heated pools. I'd rather dive into a fresh, cold, northern, Mother Nature lake anytime. So would my dogs.

I too love the calm and almost spiritual serenity that an early morning awakening on a lake or the sea shore. I was at Lawrenctown Beach this morning at eight watching the waves crash against the shore. It is too bad everyone could not start there day in such a wonderful way Anna.
