Just a Boy
He’s charming, and he’s mischievous,
Yes, sometimes he’s downright naughty,
Suspended again, his mom’s at her wits end,
Ready to hang him out to dry.
So, Marcus finds himself in my class,
He’s angry to be here, knows it was a conspiracy,
Between his mom and the principal of our school,
And perhaps some friends who ratted him out.
He can ride a skateboard and do the jerk,
And he knows something about just about everything
He’s always moving, his feet, his hands,
And always yes, his mouth.
But, in the end he’s just a boy,
He brings a favorite movie for fun day,
And turns the classroom TV,
To be sure that I can see too.
So although I have tons of work to do,
‘The Fantastic Four’ have my complete attention.
