From a class exercise. . . and a memory

The bowl of childhood,

Sun-draped days, nights tucked in: safe.

Spilled, changed: Mama left.

Striking contrast between the picture, the first line, the second line and then bang the last line strikes a sad chord that many including me can empathize with...well done.
