"Having been held down I was held back but not anymore"

Up Up and Away

I

I am because of one who was and what was done before
With one who was and one who will be lifting me between
Having been held down I was held back but not anymore

I want to be what is because I need to do what does
To be and do the best I can whatever that might mean
To be as happy as I can and do what I can do
That when I am not who is then might be because I was

Not just as happy as I can but as I cannot be
Nor only good as I could get I would be better yet
And if I can forgive myself I know I can be free

Having been and done and lost and won and having to smile
To be (for the time being) and to do a thing or two
I could not reach before but reaching would be good for me

II

And if I can do better I can be the better man
Than worse who held me down held back as he was by regret
Too tense in his tendentiousness to let me be or do
What he could not when he forgot what I remembered then

What I had to the only way the only me I knew
When like my father told me I remembered who I was
Remembered then and vowed that man would not hurt me again

Beyond regret now I forgive myself as I forget
About him having always had what he was looking for
And if I can forgive myself I can forgive him too
If I do what he cannot do and simply change my mind
Should I do what he would not do and change my heart for good

With better men before behind and lifting me between
Where lives are linked and forged by love become a mighty chain
By love become the tie to bind us forward from behind
And when all else has passed away this love will still remain

As I (for the time being) having done a thing or two
And lost and won and been and done am here to be awhile
Because of when and then to be and do the best I can
Between who was and will be lifting me to reach for more

III

I am (if only for today) what is to do what does
To do what no one else does as who never was before
To be as happy as I can and do what I can do
That when I am not who is then might be because I was
And did (for the time being and if only for today)

Today the why of why not by the what of what will be
As the gift to tomorrow of the yes of yesterday
Says yes to go though I will not know where till I get there
Where journey is the destination those who journey say

Where there is where when then is when how now is how we mean
In all the ways of always all the days of those who dare
To care beyond the many there where any is the way
There nothing is impossible where any is the where
With one who was and one who will be lifting me between

Having been held down I was held back but not anymore
That was yesterday
As here and now to be and do I spread my wings to soar
Up up and away

My dear brother you have said what needs to be said on the mountin top of life. What would there be to do if I were the person I be that can soar in my soul up up and away? Or can I soar through the heavens on the wings of dare, with nothing more to compare?

This piece is so surreal that many will identify if they can understand that to be the one that can soar up up and away, is to be free in the soul and leave the feelings of isolation, abandonment, being disowned, hated and ignored, behind for the feelings of joy and happiness. But it is a long journey up up and away to get there.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

You remind me of a song that was out a while back. "Don't worry... Be Happy. Maybe you remember it.
You seem to have broken free from chains that bind.
/=Great write.
