I can't speak for anyone else, but as an Atlantic Canadian, I'm FED UP with old man winter! It's stormy here again...we've had a storm every week for 8 weeks now....enough....begone you old crank! Although I have to admit...the white landscape...trees laden with snow...is truly beautiful!

Crotchety old crank, leave us alone!
Snow to our arses and froze to the bone!
It’s not enough that you moved right in,
But you’re always cuffing us on the chin!
Storm and storm and storm again!
Look at the mess you’ve got us in!
Your wintry breath an icy chill
You throw your wrath at us at will!
Rotten scoundrel, begone I say!
Don’t make us miserable another day!
Your frigid shawl of icy white
Wrapped around us good and tight,
Runny noses, colds and flu
Can’t wait until your reign is through!
Mark my words Spring will come!
And then your hold on us will be done!

Perhaps you could send some of that snow to the other side of the country, Annabel. We've had no winter to speak of here. Love your apt and timely verses. Thank you for sharing them. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

THE PICTURE IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL. YOUR RHYME, RHYTHM AND PHRASES PRODUCE THE IMAGERY THAT MAKES AN EXCELLENT POETIC OFFERING AND SUPPORTS ITS THEME SOLIDLY. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Festive and shimmering Anna!
I agree, and besides I eat shameless amounts of ice cream and can't get out to exercise it off. Still, it is pretty out!

Oh, yeah, Anna, I sure remember my long ago days in the Chicago area. It got so cold one day in 1968 that my mustache froze and I was able to break it off... It's been really bad here in Southern California, too, though. Had to go bicycle riding yesterday wearing a long sleeve jersey and a cycling jacket. Downright cold at fifty-one. But in an hour, sitting and having coffee with a bunch of my group of seniors, the wind came up and we had to put our jackets on again... Jeeze, and you think you've got it tough.
