"A little revolution now and then is a good thing, don't you think?"
Sean Connery in "Hunt For Red October."
|
Not a Tweet today in Cairo,
Reform is what it's all about.
But being Tweetless alone's enough,
To make people protest and shout.
I guess the politicians,
Said they'd be a'doin something,
But ain't.
Kinda like right here at home,
We were promised a changing too.
Someday those protesters in the streets,
Just could be me and you.
Walt

I honestly don't get the whole Tweeting Networking thing. In this poem you tell it like it is. We need more of that!

| The avenues of unrest are lined with tens of millions of American citizens these days. Their will falling too long on the deaf ears of corruption and deceit of the politicos. If our citizens much longer endure the surprise will not be mine alone. I believe as you do freedom and democracy will soon become an unwilling participant in the games of oppression. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael |

Yes, I think the return to demonstrations and peace marches of the sixties may not be that far off the complacency of just talking about the social and politiacal nightmares of today are coming to a head.
