More limerick nonsense from Regis... ...No, the clown is not me.

Limericks XXV

An angry clown came into town
On his face was a most pronounced frown
His painted smiled leered
He was greatly feared
For what he hid under his gown

In the useless fat cats’ kingdom
The senators dozed in boredom
Their snoring grew such
That it was too much
And the prime minister was struck dumb
On Parliament Hill some clowns doze
While others are counting their toes
They are wasting their time
On the taxpayers’ dime
Discussing their nonexistent woes
A bored senator named McGill
Went off on a hike for a thrill
He got lost in the mist
He was never missed
Now his ghost haunts Parliament Hill
The senators on Parliament Hill
Have a great deal of minutes to kill
Such a useless cost
We wish they’d get lost
That would truly give us a thrill
A man once had a beautiful wife
She would be his companion for life
She ordered him to
Do what he had to
While she relaxed by playing the fife
A gal I know is fond of snow
It makes her high if you must know
Her nose tip all white
She thinks she’s in flight
I’ve advised her to just say no
My friend had a very fine wife
Who was skilled at throwing the knife
With a crack of her whip
And a snarl on her lip
She could really add spice to his life
A lady I’ve recently met
Has a most unusual pet
It’s a furry beaver
She’s afraid it will leave her
And I cannot get her not to fret
A meteorologist named Mark
Often takes a walk in the park
There to meditate
Upon the sad state
Of his forecasts always off the mark

Oh these are very cute and if it weren't for the fact that these are mostly based on fact, I would say even funny, but what do I know, so I hop away like a little bunny.

The political week in review
Is best if we leave it to you
You know how to write-
And do it with bite,
Such skill in this thing that you do.

We have to wonder at the ways of politicians; many seem to be serving themselves instead of the people, career politicians, guys from the middle classes who didn't become lawyers or doctors but choose to make a fool of themselves as orators in parliament and congress.Democracy is the worst form of government - except for all the rest! some wise Democrat opined.

Keep on revealing the absurdity of life, reg!

On prominence hill the clowns and politicians mingle awaiting the "gal fond of snow". If we could just persuade them to stay many a day we could enjoy in peace. Your limericks are always a lift Regis. They can brighten an overcast winter day. Thanks for sharing them with me. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael
