The Precipice
By La Belle Rouge

last night I fell
from the precipice of a distant star
into a love poem you recited
soul to soul

last night I slipped
between tangled sheets of a dream
and found you waiting there
again, as always

I thought your words
already branded deep in my psyche
and you felt my thoughts
caress your mind

last night your lips
resurrected the ancient legend of “us”
I felt your heart beating in my chest
and woke up in your arms

The inside-out and outside-in of soulmate symbiosis and experience: intuitive, psychic and spiritual connections that stitch together two far-apart lives on a moment-by-moment basis. Funny how you have only to hear someone's intake of breath to know exactly what they're going to say, what's going on deep within their lives and emotions, even before they utter. To experience these things is to believe in The Precipice of which you speak. True love's vertigo has never been written so sweet. xx

It is truly a marvel to awaken from a dream in the arms of the one you love...but it is greater still to be held firmly in love. Beautiful as always through this inspiration.
