MEMORIES & MAKE-UP

Are we trying to mask the past

or merely mirror the future

  Make-up to disguise ourselves

or see something clearer

Plaster  du Paris

 Marquis de Sade

 Translucient yet still blurry

 Reflective glass  and pretty scars

yet still  just smoke and mirrors

Dream to sleep

Sleep to dream

In waking who are you?

 The incarnation of a lulluby

As spoken by Horton Who

Dodging bullets that should be lodged

To be reminded of just what stings

Good taste, I've been much deprived

I guess that's how the caged bird sings

I found myself strangely dizzy here- or maybe it wasn't here...but a memory.
