A Heavenly Dove

Our neighbors son, Dennis James Neff Jr died tragically on Jan 30, 2011 at age 32. His nick name was Jimmy. He spent a lot of time with our son Rick when they were teenagers. I wrote this poem for him....

As the long day came to an end,
and night shadows drew neigh
Evening tide descended upon the earth,
enchanced by natures lullibies

A lonely dove flew towards heaven
with white graceful wings unfurled
A host of angels guided him towards
a new celestial world

Jesus came to meet him as he
entered heavens door
Jimmy has found peace and contentment
with God forver more

No worries creas his brow,
all cares have gone away
He's now in Paradise,
forever and ever to stay

Do not cry or shed wild tears,
your loved one will always be near

When you hear the song of a dove,
or see one flying in the blue clad sky,
Jimmy has come to brighten your day,
He's only a memory away........

So sorry to hear of another death, seems so many over this winter, here at our church and amongst my friends too. You give me strength to go on and face death with this one, it is such a beautiful write.

May Jimmy rest in peace.
To me, it's cruel to be taken at such a young age.
I hope his family are bearing up, and you, too, MaryGrace.
Take good care.
