Give Me Your Eyes
By La Belle Rouge

Give me your eyes, My Love
for I want you to look upon
yourself as only I can see you
Look closely and when you’re done

you’ll know none could ever be you
No eyes but yours capture mine
Look, My Love and when you’re through
what you’ve seen will transcend time

What was it that made you feel
all you do must be perfectly done?
You are the rain in the desert of my life
Can’t you see you are my Winter sun?

Give me your eyes, in alabaster light
Let me swim bare in their deep, dark pools
Give me your eyes in the marcasite night
where desire makes wise ones fools

Give me your eyes filled with love
Look kindly, upon my every flaw
Give me your passion rising above
lost love’s yearning intense and raw

Your eyes and a part of your heart
give them without any trace of fear
for you can be assured to end from start
my soul will be holding yours near

Romance is seldom written as well as this,
Belle, for it's more than 'mere' romance, it's
metaphysic insight.

The eyes have it! Frankly, I was a little grossed-out by the title. But, as you so elegantly describe, eyes tell all and let you know another's feelings, passionate or not.

You have flaws?
