What is this thing?

Brown, broken, small

Standing alone

Amongst a forest of

Vibrant greens

And life

The walls

Decaying

Like the

Decaying of flesh

Of a life

Taken too soon

Alone

In the woods

Trapped in a time

Long gone

Trapped in a world

Whisked away

With me

To a place

Never to be

Revived again

Quite a powerful piece. I've often wondered myself about the people who once lived in abandoned cottages and cabins that I've come across in my wanderings.
