I honestly don’t recall,
I guess sometimes I did go to the mall,
Never liked the crowds there,
Don’t think I was as much, then, a hermiting bear…
Got out more, to the shore,
Went to more favorite places,
Exited my home through the door,
Did we play golf more…?
If you could see the smallness of my home,
The one I live in right now, my camper,
You’d wonder how I just in here sit,
Without the computer my life would be sh**…

|Interesting - I've often thought that life was better before we were all glued to our computers - people definitely were more active. So I've written a little poem about what we did do - before.|

|Computer? What we have here--is a communication device so powerful it brings down tyrants [ Marshall McLuhan's 'Tribal Villiage.' Most people never compute anything on their computer.
Yes, you gotta get out more and eat Jersey Snow, Shore, Snookie ... whatever.

|Computers are the information highway...I just started using one in 2007 to write and can't believe I wasn't on one sooner. They help the soul when one is isolated or sick, keeping them connected with the world. Everyone needs a break though. Get out into society and feel the fresh air. Great write and cute picture! Take care, and God bless! ~Chessly|

|JOISEY ED ...
WE DIGITIZED ... USED OUR DIGITS TO COUNT ... BASE OF 10 ...
10 FINGERS ... 10 TOES ... 10 + 10 = 20 ...
10 SQUARED = 100 ... 20 SQUARED = 400 ...
THEN, WE GOT SMARTER ... LEARNED TO ADD:
2 EYES + 2 EARS + 1 NOSE + 1 MOUTH = 6 MORE DIGITS ...
PLUS: 2 ARMS + 2 LEGS = 4 MORE COUNTER-PARTS ...
NOW, 30 POSSIBLE DIGITS ...
30 SQUARED = 900 ...
NOW WE'RE REALLY 'COOKIN' WITH GREASE' ...
NEXT, WE DISCOVERED THAT OTHER 'THANG' -
WITH HIS 2 'BUDDIES' ... UP TO 33 NOW ...
THEN, 2 ELBOWS N' 2 KNEES ...
37 TOTAL COUNTING DEVICES ...
PLUS, ANOTHER DEVICE FOUND ..
1 HI-KNEE ... 38 SQUARE IT FOR 1,444 ...
OOH - OOH - 2 ANKLES ADDED = 40 ...
SQUARE THAT TO EQUAL 1,600 ...
THEN, THERE'S 2 WRISTS + 2 SHOULDERS ...
BRINGS US UP TO 44 ...
SQUARED = 1,936 ...
THROW IN - 2 EYEBROWS + 1 BELLY-BUTTON + 2 MAMMARY 'THINGIES' ...
EQUALS 49 - WHEN SQUARED GIVES US - 2,401 SQUARE PARTS!
TO THIS WONDROUS FIGURE, ADD IN 4 'CHEEKS' ... AND VOILA!
53 DIGITIZED NON-DECIMALIZED 'WATCH-A-MA-CALL-ITS ...
WHEN SQUARED, A GRAND TOTAL OF 2,809 POSSIBLE PERMUTATIONS!
WHO NEEDS ANY 'STINKIN' PUTER'?
OR, AN ABACUS, FOR THAT MATTER ...
P.S. DON'T FORGET TO 'COUNT' YOUR BLESSINGS!
"ANY DAY ABOVE GROUND ... IS A GOOD DAY!"
EL GATO ... 'EL NUMERO UNO' ... !!! :) :) :)

|It is true that the computer has offered other possibilities for communicating etc. One has to make the right choices of course. Substance to ponder upon, Ed. Thank you. Love and peace,
