Golden Ladders to Heavens End
Golden, white rays of light descend.
Magical ladders reaching heavens end.
Last night’s snow gently kisses the ground.
Robins, harbingers of spring in glory abound.
Ice on naked limbs glisten-
Silent is the joy in mornings shine.
Heavy gray clouds now scurry-
Racing east on the changing winds of time.
Spring comeths soon; dash now the winter cold.
Bring forth a new hope for both young and old.
I smile as I watch the retreating snow fade away.
I welcome the morning rise as I climb a golden ladder-
Reaching, reaching ever higher for heavens end and peace of mind.
