Gon' try t'get a Valentine to y'all to make up for this grumpy,,
don't know what it should be called. ? Nutso rant? ;)

Not talkin' fruit, if you get what I mean.
First of all, that name.  Feb-ROO-air-ee?
What's that about?  Temps in the teens
Here'bouts. Gray toppa gray-topp--...ayiiieee!

Got Valentine's Day, but how much candy
Can you wolf? Pre-owned roses cost, too,
You know. Better keep your Visa card handy
If anything was left after the holidays. . .pooh!

Got no money, and forget what's on cable.
Look outside and sleet is slinging ice.
What does the month bring to the table?
Orphan Annie hair from high humidity..."nice!'

Rather be alive 'n' not, I s'pose.
Got library books to keep me comp'ny.
Not too many runs yet in my pantyhose,
And it's cozy in bed, even if it's lumpy.

Takes whatcha gets, ain' that right?
Feb-roo-ary gives good crocus sometimes.
Think I'll light me some candles tonight.
Snuggle with Honeybunch an'...a l'il wine?

Month's just a month, season's just a season.
Got someone t'love and a roof over my head.
When you think about it, who needs a reason

To ignore the calendar & just hop in bed?

You got the right idea here. When things get too complicated or too overwhelming, just hop under them nice warm covers and snuggle with a pillow!

Reads like a plan... I plan to leap into the warmth of March.

Great tongue-in-cheek, Pea,
and a very refreshing alternative perspective.
Stay in bed, Girl, except when you need to...write.

Gosh blimey, you wake up with a lump in bed too? It's a sign of good health, you know.

Yup VD is just a big, big con. To double the prices in hotels, restaurants (and halve the size) cards and make losers like me feel even worse. ;)

I certainly hope you are not planning on getting out of bed when you have every reason to stay warm and in it.

This is so beautifully self-aware, Phyllis. I can't think of anything more sensible and of course there is nothing better!

Adorable and very inspired...I don't have me a honey for Valentine's Day, so I just send out love to all that I's okay!

A lighter side look at the lovers day named after St.Valentine. I have no one to send flowers or candy. Although I wish somebody would send me a box of chocolates. The contents will be gone in less than an hour. Maybe I will just buy myself a candy bar!
Excellent writing, Phyllis.

Methinks Febrooary is over-rated, anyhoo. LOL But your words, your delightful words, make me crawl out from under the covers and see the sunshine. Thank you, (((Pea))). Love this, and you --
