i sometimes wonder just what is the use:
i've got the smaller-than-normal paycheck blues!

it is *NOT* MY fault that i suddenly got sick;
but right now, folks, i AM feeling pretty ick!!

got a cold in my node, need to go on and blow;
i sure would *LOVE* to tell this f***ing cold to go!!

went and saw loretta lynn last week; it's HER fault;
no, it is really vanessa's, it's HER cold we caught!!

today, was supposed to work, but was fired today;
back to bed and back to sleep is the ONLY way!!

not fired, really, but just fired today, but oh, heck..
that will NOT look all that good on my little check!!

i make only $150.00 every two weeks if i am lucky;
to me, $150.00 seems oh, so very good and ducky!

today is the second day that i have missed work;
and i am sure my co-workers think i am a JERK!!

but if they feel as cruddy as i do right at this time;
then they'd understand why i do sneeze and whine!!

others there make a lot more than me; but oh, well:
at least i have a job; others don't have it so swell!!

being disabled and being on a forearm crutch;
people don't want to give me a chance so much.

many disabled people don't have it as good as i do;
they look for work, look the whole day through.

but many people don't hire disabled people at all;
fear of being sued or taken to court if they do fall.

too much of an insurance risk, employers do say;
but i am glad that i DO have a job to go to today!!

i am just glad my bosses do understand my plight;
too many others call in for partying during the night!

being drunk is not a good excuse or reason;
but I have a GOOD one, for it is flu season!!
