Babes, Boats, Beaches & Beer…

We were all so young,

Knew nothing of growing or Jung,

Cruised the bay in boats,

Hung out on the beaches on floats,

Carried our beer for the babes in totes…

Some sailed, some used power,

But our love for our hometown never did sour,

To the Wildwoods we’d go to get drunk,

I don’t know how we got home without getting sunk…

So we had much, when young, fun,

Tons of sand betwixt our toes,

Enjoying summers warmth & sun,

I’m glad for me it was where my parents to live chose…

Lucky you. Now I see why you were in your lifeguard position in today's photo op by Pee Wee.

Also remember those good vacations to the beach and still take them with family members. The ocean draws me to it, love all things about it, even those seagulls flying overhead and their raucous behavior.
Thanks for the reminder on this cold winter day.

I have always envied beach kids as Leah and I used to always call them on our many...many trips to Tybee. Sadly I feel that the kids of today do not realize how good they had it. Since I was not born by the shore, my prayer is that I can retire...live and die by the shore...Grat memory in this write sir...Blessings

Carried our beer for the babes in totes…

So that's where you always hid it, you devil you. You always told me that you didn't have any.

How about sending me some, today?!
