Pigtails and overall all covered in dirt
No time for a girly little skirt
Where ever daddy was is where I wanted to be
Daddy was the world to me
Truck pulls were are favorite things to do together
Looking back now it seems like its been forever
A little girl I am no more
Many things are different then they were before
Many mistakes I've made in my 29 years
But I know daddy is always there to wipe my tears
When I need someone he's a call away
You can always come back home he'd say
After two marriages he's still they only man I can true ly count on
He is the only one I can hang my faith upon
From pigtails and muddy overalls to kids of my own
There is on thing I know even though I'm grown
No matter how old I get I'll always be daddy's little girl

It is great that you can rely on your dad, Pamela. Your poem reminds me of a story (dream) that I had and I posted here at AD in my short story section. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,

Regis
