All Keyed Up
(Inspired by a Billy Taylor song “I’m a Lover”)
© April, 2011
At this moment I’m listening to Billy Taylor
Pound out “I’m a lover” I can see the keys
Sparkle with succinct syncopation, a happy tune
About a guy living in anticipation…of his dream,
But don’t we, don’t we, don’t we all?
We wait for the right moment,
We listen, ‘cause we want to own it,
When the time is right,
Ebony and ivory are locked up tight,
So sweet baby, tonight “I’m a lover,”
And the time, this time, our time for lovin’ is oh so right.

|Dan, I cannot think of a better title(Up Tight and Alright, nah) at the moment. I like this work. It is full of energy and promise, romance and mood. So just just keep tickling the ivories and ebony. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael|

|Keying in Amour, maybe? The title you have works with this poem, but you asked, and I kinda like my version better, but of course I would, huh? Hah~ And yes, we do all wait for that right moment, sometimes we recognize, sometimes not.|
