I Want To Be Your Secret

My father, in heaven, how incredible that I can approach you on such familiar terms.
How unbelievable that I, a weak and sinful man can talk with you as a little child would talk with his dad.
Help me overcome the fears I have about pouring out my soul to you.
About getting emotional with you.
I know you want to laugh and cry with me.
Help me understand that I can totally trust you with all that I am.
Others may let me down, but I am thankful that it is impossible for you to do that.
Thank you, father, for always being there for me.
I believe that though I may dream, imagine, plan and hope, it is you who directs my path and leads me.
I know that your ways are not my ways and your thoughts are not my thoughts.
When life seems confusing, lonely and difficult help me.
Help me to see the good in all situations.
May your spirit fill me with love, peace and joy.
Thank you for Jesus, my savior, redeemer and friend.
In his name I pray, AMEN.
