Tanned, round-cheeked, deeply lined face;
Dark, flashing eyes that show courage and grace.
Long, salt-and-pepper hair and a black moustache;
He keeps a steady supply of crawfish and cash!
Walks with crutches due to arthritis' unending pain;
But he refuses to let his problems get to him again!!
Armand is his name, and he is a bona-fide Cajun;
Has a fire to his soul that sometimes sets to ragin'!
Born in south Louisiana, near Houma way;
He is proud of his family and his life today!!
Married over 30 years, then lost his beloved wife;
He became very depressed, despondant over life.
But then met a new beau, Therese is her name;
And ever since, his life HASN'T been the same!!
Moved to Nashville when a tornado hit his home;
It seemed for a time he felt so scared and alone!
But his one daughter (his youngest) took him in,
And she has supported him, through thick and thin!
Now lives with Louisiana and her lovely brood;
They have been the perfect antidote for his mood!!
Stays busy, when his health permits;
There isn't ANYTHING this guy CAN'T fix!!
Also loves to sing, play the Cajun accordion, too--
He has a Cajun song ready for me and for you!!
Armand doesn't speak English well, mainly French;
English for him sometimes throws a nasty wrench!!
But he still tries, wants to pass his English test--
He is EVER on the outlook to succeed his quest!!
Armand Moliere' is a CAJUN, tried and true ; he is intensely proud of his heritage, and he has passed this on to his daughters and their families. He has five daughters (one died) and one adopted daughter. He also has an army of mischevious grandchildren, and he will do ANYTHING to please them!! He is Louisiana's father. Louisiana's other sisters are Florida, Arizona, Indiana, and Georgia (the one that died). Her adopted daughter is named Crystal.
Armand is one of 13: he is the youngest in his family; and his brothers and sisters were named:
Amite, Antoinette, Anne, Alcide, Abigail, August, Jr., Antonio (Tony), Albert, Alfonse, Andrew, Anthony, and Boulon. (His parents ran out of "A" names!)
