America, peace calls to thee!
As the winds softly blow
The wind chimes call to me
When the birds sing,
Their songs call to me
When a majestic cardinal alights my trees
Virginia calls to me
In this crisp winter morn
I am more than grateful
All ou fallen heroes
I mourn
For all the injured, maimed or forgotten
I cry
I hear America's thunderous jets fly by
I am by their power transformed, transfixed
Freedom calls to me!
I am by freedom's elegance renewed
I still believe
I still believe...
America,life calls to thee
Freedom takes its heavy toll
Here and in foreign lands
Traditionally, someone sadly takes roll call
Courage must our badge always be
Courage must our badge always be
Young America, listen not to "talking heads"
America, shall never be broken
Listen with your hearts, your minds
Not simply your ears
The price is too dear...to only hear
I have been a proud soldier's wife
I know too well of conflict, loss and strife
I know too well the price
It has been payedwith pain, heartaches and life
America shall never be broken!
America,you need not don a soldier's medals
Or wear a solder's stripes
Or march in victorious parades...
Only bow down your head
For our fallen heroes, our dead!
America, peace calls to thee!
Let the bell of liberty forever ring
Let us all proudly walk, hand in hand
Toward peace with honor and pride
For that honor was well earned
America's glory we cannot hide
America, God has blessed thee
For peace does call thee!
America, God has blessed thee
For peace calls to thee!
