Touching on some of our great country's past.

Freedom won over 200 years ago.

They made the British eat crow.

Washington was the first to lead.

His successors live by the creed.

Family against family in civil war.

Open wounds which will ever scar.

Roosevelt and the new deal.

Hoping to help the nation heal.

Many spats across the sea.

Made imprisoned millions free.

Although we may swerve and sway.

We stand tall and stronger today.

I AGREE...AND THE 'THREAD', THE 'BINDING FORCE' THAT HAS HELD US...AND WILL CONTINUE...TO HOLD US TOGETHER IS...ALMIGHTY GOD! AND NOT ANY OTHER THING! ALTHOUGH WE HAVE MANY FAULTS, WE ARE A NATION THAT WAS ESTABLISHED ON PRAYER AND WE ARE STILL STANDING...BECAUSE OF PRAYER. WELL DONE AND ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

God bless you for such a powerful piece of history. We are still a young country in comparison to many, but at least we have been able to hold our own until now....

Be always safe,
Karen
