 A Vet

The phone rings

It’s a familiar number

My hope sings.

Again, I say to myself

Is this the one,

Has this day finally come?

Many calls before

They check in

Wondering, how I’ve been.

They have a question

A DNA request

Sometimes, a suggestion.

The Vietnam Wall

Your name etched in stone

A soldier known.

Hope, tomorrow

Another call comes

Hope, it’s the one...

They found you

My brother - A Vet

Missing In Action

Not home, yet!
