A while back I was in New York City on business when I saw a man standing on a ledge high up on a building. These kids below were telling him to jump. And I got to thinking, what was this guys back story as people gathered in the streets and were looking up at him. That's how these lyrics came about. To the strange man on the ledge, hopefully you didn't jump after I walked away. Directly after this I was walking through the city on my Blackberry and typed this out and stored it as a memo. There is actual music and a full song to this but I just never finished it.

V1: He stands on the edge, the city beneath him. This wasn't how he planned to be spending his evening. Found out his Fiance's cheating and when she got back had plans to leave him. Scared of heights, he closed his eyes. A man hungout the window trying to coax him inside. Trapped in a life he can't get out of. Laid off, his car impounded, his best friend was killed overseas last week can't believe he's gone they just talked Halloween. Tears on his cheeks leave his face. And fall to the roof of the old Chinese Buffet. Faintly, he heards the sirens. Of the paramedics arriving police right behind them. Trying to get him off and back in safely didn't work, he jumped at 815. Chorus: If you try to race time you won't end up winning. Should of lived your life right from the very beginning. When it rains it'll pour feel the power of the storm taking over. Run for cover because it's coming. V2: People watched in horror as he fell from the building. They wouldn't feel sorry if they knew how many children he molested, how much money he collected. Fraudulently made a company people could invest in. The money spent wasn't his life savings. Retirement funds of innocent senior citizens he didn't care about heartless. Living off the shore in his penthouse apartment. His best friend and business partner, fled the US became a moving target. Murdered in the streets karma got him. Put 20 bullets in them when they shot them. Put 20 bullets in him when they shot him from behind tried to runaway. Pockets filled with bloody money red handed he was caught fought for his life and tossed in a ditch in the sticks for the crimes he commited. But didn't listen, he shoudl've given back the money but he didn't. Chorus: If you try to race time you won't end up winning. Should of lived your life right from the very beginning. When it rains it'll pour feel the power of the storm taking over. Run for cover because it's coming. V3: The storm will always find you, look up the skies are gray. The rain starts pounding on you, like tears from outer space. The lightening strikes it's victims, and burns them straight to hell. The winds are stronger then you, your nightmare's been revealed. Chorus: If you try to race time you won't end up winning. Should of lived your life right from the very beginning. When it rains it'll pour feel the power of the storm taking over. Run for cover because it's coming.

Seems we all have our own s$it in life. No one is unique in that aspect.

Why did Rosie on her death bed asked me to promise to always keep her silver mirror in the family. What silver mirror and why?..
