As she watched the day fall away,
And the daffodils become only silhouettes
in
the
breeze --
She held his warm body close to hers
Feeling his heartbeat in rhythm with the night.
Her thoughts became his breath,
Rising and falling through their dreams.
Within his sweet slumber
She knew he was everything
that was
beautiful
to her.
