                                    Larkspur In Love

                   ~~ / ~~

Intricate the white larkspur near the light blue,
                     wafed in a gentle breeze

A dragonfly quick of flight..a humming bird
sipping nectar from a vibrant stargazer lily

Bullfrog, ribbits..lily pads and blossoms waver
                     as the bullfrog disappears

A tri-color beech tree in beautiful array of its
summer colored leaves..swaying to the gentle breeze..
crickets, doves cooing, the piercing locust ..tell
                    of summers stories

I call, are you here?  Walking the grounds I peer
into the summer house windows..all is quiet...
                    then I see him

Sweet man of my life..you smile..white heart flame
burning beneath the blue steeples of the larkspur,
my Lady Angel..to bow to your lovliness

Arm in arm..approaching the summer house
                   the screen door creaks..

Mary Ann, please don't take this wrong, but this would be a fantastic setup for a Viagra commercial. It's so well done and so sensual, then it leaves it all to your imagination. "... the screen door creaks" fantastic imagery.

I have only one complaint.... That fine print is really hard on an old mans eyes.

Thanks Dick

Love the creaking screen door, adds a sort of closure on everything. Beautifully constructed words of nature all around each of us on a daily basis, which a great majority, myself included, of us fail to see the depths of its beauty.
