Music: A Whole New World
It has now been over a week
Since I trapped Lily in that field
She has spent this time, at the vet’s
Being cared for, and starting to heal
Abandoned Little Lily had been starving
Her emaciated body, filled with parasites
What a difference, some TLC can make
Little Lily is no longer consumed with fright
She is already beginning to trust, again
She senses her nightmare is now behind
Last night, she took another ride in a car
To a couple’s home, who are extremely kind
Lily of The Field is now staying with Foster Parents
She’s once again receiving the love that she deserves
Sharing their home, with three other rescued canines
Who are very willing to share this sanctuary, with her
Her favorite pastime, is already snuggling up on the family sofa
With the man of the house, where she delights in his gentle touch
Please consider fostering or adopting, a homeless orphan like Lily
I believe that each and every abandoned canine, deserves as much
