Chained to the Earth
I lay chained to the earth, my spine like a root fastened in clay.
My chest severed exposing all that’s inside me to this day.
And I lay witness to the infinite rhythm
of layers upon layers of life’s seeds,
beautifully moving in the heavens
waiting for the planting to proceed.
The reflection of myself
that I can see in life’s entities.
Please hear me sweet melodies that caress divine air,
the shield of my body is no longer there.
I now understand that we are as one,
as my ego’s desires have become undone,
the only way we can see what reality is
and what we will become.
As ashes are fashioned from a raging fire,
the nature of the elements we are destined to admire.
I lay open to the wisdom of life’s eternal laws,
All of life has an effect as growth becomes its cause.
