At Last
by Amber "V" Moonstone

9/18/11

Are you looking at the same
landscape as I?
This continual flow
of nature's creative muse.

I sit on a bench looking
out at the majestic ocean,
holding fast to my sanity,
Now and again, I do hear love's whisper.

As I write this line,
the sun emerges from behind
a darkened cloud,
my mind is set free!

Always, thoughts of you,
breathes sunshine to my soul,
the wind carries your voice,
touching me once more.

Why do two beautiful souls remain apart?
One caught up in a life that doesn't work any longer,
and the other waiting....
waiting for what?

Bits and pieces of sunshine
now and again,
love's thoughts resonate
as the waves catch my attention.

I see you clearly,
your outstretched hands,
hair flowing in the wind,
standing on my shore.....

AT LAST

Amber,
You write of longing with more
passion than most poets, a deep longing,
but also a rich understanding of communion
and belonging.
Yes!

This is profoundly meaningful, mysterious, easy for the reader to identify with and so touching because it is full of both beauty and despair, with a bright vision at the end!

Sometimes we must be thankful to just know that the love connection exists even if it cannot be fulfilled physically....

I pray he is there waiting and in love with you. You are such a beautiful lady, and so nice too. I wish I was younger and still lived back east. I would love to take you on dates.
