What a difference a week makes,

After summer the cold over takes,

Coolness comes to the ocean & lakes,

Yesterday rain &wind but "thems" the breaks…

A week ago yesterday I went swimming,

Yes the air was quite warm & the ocean nice,

But yesterday the weather was quite foul,

The ocean rough, not even fit for a walk, I did growl…

Still there were those that found it fun,

Even with out the sea &the sun,

A flea market overlooking the beach run,

A fun day either way for someone...

We finally got a break from the triple digit heat. The bad news is that the area still dry and the drought continues. It was cool working outside today, but the wind portends more fires.

2% of Texas has burned. And Perry is not talking about it. That is equivalent to the states of Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Delaware combined. With disaster funds being held up, if those three states had burned, everyone would be yelling bloody murder. Instead, it's just another ranch, farmhouse, pine forest that burned in a big old state that can take it. Winter won't come soon enough.

Sorry for the rant.

Yes once mother nature decides we had enough fun she shuts us down pretty quickly.

Yes! I feel it in the air too....but after the summer we had here in eastern Canada...summer is no great loss..sigh! So far though, Fall has been warm and sunny and absolutely beautiful...albeit too cold to go swimming in the ocean...giggle...

Alas Bro, it is true,
Summer is now through,
And the thought of winter,
Can sure make one feel blue.

Before you know it the hot humid weather will be back. Down here in Phoenix it is still in the 90's and dry.
Enjoy the fall.

It's still in the mid to upper eighties down here on the swamp. Pleasant nights though.
