Memories of our life can be good and bad, but in the end it is how we LIVED our life that counts

I walk through the memories,
Some faded with time
Photos of past loves and lives
I have lived
Some smiles, some tears
But always a treasure
That I hold so dear

Then there’s always
That one picture
That jumps out at me
And reminds me
Of the me I used to be
No cares, no worries
Just happy and free
But would I trade that
For the life
I have led
For I am a woman
That has come so far

I have ridden the comet
Amongst the stars
And fallen to earth
For this rebirth
To be the woman
I was always meant to be

So as I look through the photos
Of my life well spent
I look forward to the life ahead
One filled with hope, trust and love
And in the end, when all has been said
I will leave this mortal plain
Hoping it was better
For me having been here
Just a woman who
With passion and grace
And always held life so dear

To understand oneself so thoroughly and so honestly is a tribute to your growth and well-being. To accept what was, what wasn't, and what is in such a way is wonderful.
