Went to a local Apple Festival with my wife and 12 year old boy this past week. Had a great time and came up with the following tribute for my son, Jon while we were there. I hope you enjoy and may God bless you all.
You are the apple of my eye
You are my own, my pride and joy
Unexpected twelve years ago
When you became my little boy
A gift sent from Heaven above
No other gift could mean so much
You have filled our home up with love
With your soft, tender loving touch
But you are growing much too fast
Yet watching you grow is so much fun
I wish I could slow time down a bit
Too soon you'll be a teen, my son
Then soon you'll find a girl of your own
Could she take you away from me?
With all that we have that can't happen
We'll just add more love to our family!
