See the forest trees benign
of every turning leaf,
but keep the thick mist at bay
in the bayous of wastelands
Occupy ole friends in the front seat,
but welcome new passengers onto
the straightaways of your heart roads
Un laden your eyes, let your body
journey to where you want to be
trusting what you feel with pinches
along the roadway to stay alert
Hug the curves, careful not to
lend a heavy foot before a
shoulder awaits safety from
meaningless left turns
No place you have to be, but
everything a must see...when you
answer to the Autumn of your years
with the innocence of your youth
